We spotted one of our favorite new maxi dresses of the year, the Gabriella dress being sported by our very own Jessica Robyn, founder of ShopAA while she was dining at the one of the best, if not ‘the’ best restaurants in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
Jessica is seen in a photo, along side her best friend, Corey Stansell. You may recognize Corey as a former contestant from ABC’s hit show, The Bachelor. Stansell made his tv debut in 2015 on season 11 of The Bachelorette, competing for love opposite Kaitlyn Bristowe and Brittney ‘Britt’ Nilsson .
Jessica is wearing the Gabriella maxi dress in lipstick red from her own branded clothing line, JessykaRobyn. It’s no surprise that she picked the Gabriella dress to wear to this special dinner while traveling, its an amazing dress, a real head turner, and she looks absolutely stunning in it!
The Gabriella dress from the JessykaRobyn line, is a deep v-neck maxi dress with a wrap style skirt with an uneven bottom hemline. The wrap skirt wraps in front, creating a higher front cut and cut longer in the back, reaching to the floor and creating the long maxi gown style. The wrap front creates the illusion of a slit to show off some sexy leg.
The dress can be worn as a strapless off the shoulder dress, or the thin adjustable spaghetti straps can be pulled up for additional support, creating more of a cold shoulder cut-out styled appearance. The deep V top is accented with ruffles that extend across the entire top, and capturing the ruffle shoulder detail look that has been a staple this season. The wired v neck plunge that outlines the deep v sweetheart neckline, will ensure the dress stays in place, and keeps you covered, while simultaneously allowing for you to show some cleavage without having to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions!
The ruffles that adorn the flutter sleeves border the entire v neck trim and the ruffles extend down to the waist line. This seemingly minor detail, the length that the ruffles fall is what makes this dress so beyond perfect. the ruffle fabric falling over the mid-line, covers the belly button and hides the waist line that often make for an uncomfortable bulge. The ruffle trim v neck on a plunging neck allows for a perfectly outlined silhouette on any body type, hiding any possible problem areas that would normally keep certain body types away from this look.
There is nothing sexier than an exposed collar bone, and this dress is all about it! Whether the thin spaghetti strap is worn on the shoulders, or stuffed into the dress to make for a completely strapless top, it outlines and highlights that sexy collar bone that men love. The wired top and solid bustier styled chest allow for a perfect fit for any bust size. It will hold and remain in place for the flat chested females, while the supportive wired top can also allow for added padding to be held firmly in place. The straight back will completely hide a strapless bra for the larger chested girls or for any girl who isn’t comfortable going bra-less. The lined bodice has an extra layer for the girl who wishes to have pads or cups sewn into it instead of going the strapless bra route.

The Gabriella dress is evidence of the thorough attention to detail that goes into the conceptualization and design of the pieces from the JessykaRobyn line. Everything was thought of, no small detail overlooked. The Gabriella dress was thoughtfully designed to create that perfect silhouette, that flatters every female figure. The red chiffon fabric selected provides an equal amount of softness and supportiveness. The chiffon creates the look of the flowy wrap skirt, the weight of the fabrication is light enough to catch air when you spin (check out the boomerang video clip below to see the skirt in action). Soft enough to create the gorgeous ruffles that adorn the neckline and create the flutter sleeves. Yet the fabric is stiff enough to provide the needed support on the upper bodice, and hold you in place. There is a mini skirt hidden below, to make sure you’re always covered even if the wrap skirt overlay moves.
We’re absolutely loving this dress, and we know you will too. And the deep lipstick red color is always a sexy color for date night! You can never go wrong…. when you’re the lady in red! The gabriella dress is a guaranteed stand out heard turner! The stylish look, ruffle top detailing and exposed shoulders make it perfectly suited as a resort dress and works well for this jet setter during her weekend getaway in Cartagena.
